• Family businesses, including dealership and distributorship of Tata Motors commercial vehicles, Mahindra and Mahindra tractors and farm equipment, Total Oil Lubricants with turnover exceeding USD 50 million (employing over 350 individuals)
• Qualified with ranks at All India level in Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and practising as a professional accountant since 1984 (the equivalent of CPA in the US)
• Appointed as an advisor to High-Level Committee of the Government of India for drafting of regulations for the conduct of members of professional institutes in India
• Expertise in acquisitions, corporate restructuring and professional regulator matters
• Advisor to multinational firms on matters of regulator controls in India and seamless integration with regulations of SEC (US) and EU
• Served on boards of reputed corporate entities as an independent director
• Presented papers at All India accounting conferences and professional study circles on Inflation based accounting, Accounting Standards and Professional Ethics
• Served as a faculty at local management institutes and ICAI
• Graduated from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata in 1982 with honours and a rank in the University of Kolkata (secured 100 marks in Mathematics Honours examination, a feat accomplished by less than 10 students in over 100 years in the University)
• Completed high school (Don Bosco, Kolkata) in 1979 from Kolkata as a gold medalist
